California Rises celebrates the spirit and resilience of our state with those who have stood up to this test: our firefighters, first responders and those who have lost so much. Clear your calendar - It's going down! You're invited to take part in the festivities. Come one, come all, bring a guest, and hang loose. This is going to be epic!
The Governor-elect, in collaboration with the California Fire Foundation, is hosting the California Rises relief concert, to help fund long-term recovery for the individuals and areas impacted by the 2018 wildfires. California Rises will bring first responders and others impacted by the fires together with our state’s leaders in a celebration of hope, healing and renewal.
The California Fire Foundation, a non- profit 501(c)(3) organization and fiduciary sponsor of the concert, provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect. Projects serving survivors, victims and communities include the California Firefighters Memorial, Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency (SAVE), fire prevention outreach to underserved communities and scholarships for the children of fallen firefighters.
